Round heavy gauge sterling teapot with parallel line detail. Carved ivory handle with gold wash interior. Made in c1840 by Gustav Okerblom and has St. Petersburg assayers mark for D. Tverskoy. Polished and in very good condition with few usage marks. Mass 537g, Length 228mm, Height 118mm, Width 125mm.

Bears monogram for 'L.O.', Louise Onou, neé Jeanne Louise Petit de Baroncourt, granddaughter of General Antoine-Henri, Baron of Jomini. Louise was married to Michel (Mikhail) C. Onou, the first diplomat of Russia (Diplomat plenipotentiary) to the USA in New York.
